EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After participating in this program, registrants should be able to:

  • Use safe dosage amounts in initial induction of a patient onto methadone
  • Assess and quantify dependence on prescription opioids
  • Manage and/or avoid non-therapeutic reactions between methadone and medications prescribed for HIV or other conditions
  • Employ procedures that support and implement best practices and reduce the risk of legal action
  • Make clinically helpful interpretations of lab reports of urine drug tests

The syllabus for this program includes the CSAM document, "Guideline for Physicians Working in California OTPs."

This is an activity sponsored by CSAM, a CMA-accredited provider. Physicians attending this program may report up to 6.5 AMA
