PHYSICIANS
The California Society of Addiction Medicine is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The California Society of Addiction Medicine takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.

The California Society of Addiction Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 34 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ (see below for breakdown.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

  • 7 for pre-conference workshops

  • 20.5 for Review Course

  • 10 for ABAM Certification Exam Preparation Track (if you are taking the exam track you can only take a morning workshop, 3.5 hours)

PSYCHOLOGISTS
The California Board of Psychology accepts CME courses accredited by the California Medical Association for continuing education credit. In other states, where requirements vary, psychologists should check with their state board.

THERAPISTS
This course meets requirements for up to 20.5 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, MFCCs and LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The provider number is PCE3447.

DRUG ABUSE COUNSELORS
CSAM has been approved as California Foundation for Advancement of Addiction Professionals. CSAM’s provider number is 4C-05-415-0413

NURSES
The California Board of Registered Nursing recognizes Category 1 CME for RN license renewal purposes. Nurses may report Category 1 CME on a one-to-one basis. Write Category 1 CME in place of a provider number when reporting credits.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
The American Academy of Physician Assistants and the NCCPA accept Category 1 Physician CME on a one-to-one basis.
